How to Bake Artichoke in the Microwave Oven?
This fast way of microwaving artichokes to get them baked won’t take more than ten minutes of your time. You can serve it for dinner, lunch or breakfast, if only you are not a morning coffee drinker.
The necessary ingredients for this simple, yet tasty, dish are as follows:
- Four big artichokes
- Four tablespoons of the olive oil
- Juice of half a lemon
- Rosemary, thyme and salt
Cut off the hard leaves and the stem, divide the artichokes into two halves and salt them.
Sprinkle the vegetable with lemon juice, olive oil, and herbs.
Microwave the artichokes in a heat-resistant pan for ten minutes at high power (or 700 Watt to be precise.)

This vegetable is considered a delicacy with an exquisite refined taste and a lot of useful properties. The artichoke is often named an overseas miracle used as a medicine for many diseases.
In many countries, people are not used to eating artichokes. They mostly use it for treatment.

Artichoke Soup in the Microwave

To prepare the artichoke soup in the microwave oven, take these ingredients:
- Artichoke hearts (preserved) – 1 jar
- Big chicken egg – 1 pc
- Lemon juice – 1 tbs
- Flour – 2 tbs
- Margarine – 1 tbs
- Gelatin – 1 package (25 g)
- Broth – 2/3 cup
- Dietary mayonnaise – 2/3 cup (4 tbs)
- Salt and ground pepper
Warm up the broth in the microwave oven for one minute then add gelatin and stir fast.
Pour the liquid from the jar with the artichokes into another cup (don’t throw it away.)
Finely cut the artichoke hearts.
Take a middle-sized bowl for the microwave oven and heat the margarine in the microwave for 15 seconds until it melts.
Mix the margarine with flour, lemon juice, and artichoke juice (that you have put off earlier.)
Warm the mixture uncovered. All in all, you will need two minutes for microwaving, but remember to take the dish out of the oven after half a minute and then again after a minute and a half to stir.
As you have taken the dish out of the microwave oven, add the yolk and artichokes and microwave for a minute.
In a blender or a food processor, pour the soup with the gelatin, salt and pepper. Blend it until smooth and add mayonnaise.

Beat it up and gently mix it all.
The rest depends on your fantasy. You may decorate the dish with the herbs, lemon slices or anything else to your taste and serve.
